Small animal, birds and exotics veterinarian
Dr Tee Brown
Dr Tee Brown BSc (Vet) (Hons) BVSc (Uni.Syd.)
Veterinarian
Dr Tee Brown was welcomed to the Turramurra Vet Team in 2021. He received first class honours and was awarded the prestigious Loxton Scholarship and the Carne Prize and Medal for Excellence for his veterinary research degree in 2014, and graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney in 2016.
Tee grew up locally in Wahroonga and Westleigh and was schooled at Normanhurst West Primary, followed by Pennant Hills High.
Dr Tee’s friendly nature and his passion for helping people and their pets has ensured he has become very popular with our clients and their pets, whether they be furred, feathered or scaled.
Having previously worked in a busy practice in North Richmond with a high case load of exotic animals, Dr Tee’s expertise extends beyond cats and dogs to small mammals (rabbits, guinea pigs and rats), reptiles, birds and native wildlife. He has worked alongside highly skilled veterinarians in the field of exotic animal medicine and surgery, and has excelled in this field of veterinary science. At home, he owns several guinea pigs, one of whom required a toe amputation who he nursed back from hind limb paralysis. He has performed a diverse range of surgeries including a mass removal from the intestines of a snake and an orthopaedic surgery on a wombat.
In addition to this, Dr Tee has an absolute love for all things feline, including his own elderly Bengal cat “Leia” and has a particular interest in geriatric feline medicine, including managing chronic renal failure, hyperthyroidism and osteoarthritis to improve their quality of life.
Growing up, Tee always had pet cats, and since then, has had a desire to improve cat welfare. His love of all creatures great and small extends to his clients and one his favourite things about being a veterinarian is the ability to make his clients happy through his dedication and excellent communication skills. His thorough approach and high attention to detail makes him an exceptional diagnostician.
Dr Tee loves the challenge and variety that being a vet brings to each day and is thrilled to be a part of the Turramurra Vet Team, with like-minded dedicated colleagues, where he can pursue high quality gold standard care.
When he is not working as a vet, Tee loves spending time with his pets and out in nature, in particular, bushwalking in the local national parks. He is an avid reader, and his love of learning extends to five years of self-directed study learning the Swedish language.
